 The perfect diagnostic scanner November 18, 2008

I drive a 1 ton truck professionally - a 2006 Ford F-350 - pulling RV's from manufacturer to dealer. When I get an MIL code, I can't wait to go into a dealer and pay $100 to see what the problem is. I bought the Car MD scanner originally, and it has a computer interface to explore the code and the fix, but it is marginal at best.
I have not used the computer interface on this scanner yet - I will soon - but I love the explanation it gives on the larger screen, and I also love the fact that I can erase the code from the truck's computer.

After much searching and comparing prices, once again Amazon came through with the best price. They even bettered my local brick and mortar shops.
The Equus 3110 ? Just about the nicest for the cost. It is so feature packed, it will carry you into the next phase of OBDII systems. Unlike the latest computer system, that once you buy it, it is outdated as soon as you turn it on.

I'm very satisfied with the unit. It works as described and its very easy to use. Recently my engine light went on. I pluged the scanner in and found a problem code to be coming from the o2 sensor after the catalytic.
After further review I found it to be minor exhaust leak.
In a previous instance I was able to reset the light.
