5 out of 5 stars Lots of fun for your serious little builder!   December 29, 2008
Ricki P (Phoenix, AZ)
Our 5-year-old son was over the moon Christmas morning when he opened this little set. It's "just like Daddy's!" We actually gave him some scraps of wood and nails (Daddy is a builder), and he has been blissfully happy in the backyard ever since.
The bag is sturdy, tightly sewn, heavy feeling leather. The belt tightens to his size, he's quite small- wears size 4 pants. The screwdrivers and level are just like any you'd find in a basic homeowner's tool kit. There is a working pencil.
The real star of the show is the hammer, which is about 4oz. It IS a real hammer; this set is for responsible as well as well-supervised kiddos! My DH is a licensed residential carpenter and he was impressed with the quality. The only thing which didn't last was the tape measure which is pretty flimsy plastic. We had another tape in the garage and just replaced it with that. Not even worth going down to 4 stars on, just buy the set and a small tape from Sears if it's important to you!
Since it is a real set, it won't be left in the backyard with the other toys, I'd imagine weather would be bad for the leather, etc. We keep it hanging in the garage, and I'm sure it will last for years. Love it!

4 out of 5 stars Great Value   December 16, 2008
Russell V. Lewey (Alexandria, VA)
We bought this tool kit for our 5 year old nephew. It was just what we where looking for. It is a great value. The tool "bag" is leather and is sure to hold up for as many years as he will be using it. The tools are real and functional and are enabling him to work with his dad as they work to build their house. The hammer is more of a tack hammer and as such, we don't see him using it to drive real nails but then he is less likely to get into trouble with it. The only suggestions at all are that the hammer loop (on the bag) is difficult to get the hammer into and hold it straight and that the bag could have used a loop or small hole to put each of the screwdrivers in.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Buy   December 3, 2008

I bought this for my son's 5th Birthday, and he loves it. I had no idea that the tools were actually "real" tools, just in miniature-size. This makes my little guy feel grown up and a like a special helper!

5 out of 5 stars Great Tools for Kids!   November 17, 2008
L. McPartland (Boston, MA USA)
Tools are a good size and weight for little hands. My son is 3 1/2 and he loves these tools. Includes 2 screw drivers, hammer, level, pencil (but the flat kind that must be sharpened with a knife), and measuring tape. Much more "authentic" then other children's tool belts. Pocket is suede/leather and arrived slightly scuffed, but may just be a reflection of being real suede. Would purchase again.

5 out of 5 stars Great quality tool belt for kids!!   November 10, 2008
Kelli Hughes (Austin, Texas United States)
This is an awesome tool belt! I bought these as party favors for all the kids at my son's 3rd birthday party. It was a construction theme, and they LOVED them! They got these and hard hats. They used their screwdrivers to screw screws into a piece of wood, and LOVED that. They were all getting out their levels and tape measures and using them. They measured their mom or whatever they could find.

I really wanted a tool belt with real kid-sized tools, and this fit the bill! It took me a while to find, though! The pouch is leather and very adjustable for all sized waists. It comes with a hammer, Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver, level, tape measure, and carpenter's pencil. One of ours was missing the pencil, but I picked one up at Home Depot for next to nothing. The pouch has plenty room for much more as well! It is quite roomy!

I highly recommend this tool belt for kids! The price is right, and it is decent quality for a kid's product.

I did end up finding this tool belt quite a bit cheaper elsewhere, so do a google search for it, and you may find it cheaper as well.
